2 Green Monkeys
Unique handmade gifts from quilts and bunting to cushions and wedding favours. Everything is made from beautiful fabrics, and the majority of their products are personalised with screen printing, embroidery or appliqué. 2 Green Monkeys is run by Sarah, with occasional help by her Mum. She has always loved fabric and making things, but only started making things to sell to other people when she had her daughter Ostara, and had to give up work. What started in a corner of her bedroom with a few metres of bunting, has now developed into a success business, with its own workshop, making over 30 products. Everything is still handmade to order from beautiful fabrics, but she now uses other techniques, such as embroidery and screen printing.

Natural Bed Company
Keep it simple, keep it different and make it perfect! Thats been their guideline since they made their first bed 40 years ago a waterbed made from recycled roof joists. They no longer make waterbeds, nor do they use old joists, but they still make bed frames from sustainable timber. They love wood and they think the amazing natural resource of timber should be used to make beautiful furniture that will last. Buying timber from managed forests ensures that new trees are planted and the cycle of planting, growth and harvest can continue. Quality is the top of their priorities, quality in manufacturing and quality in customer service. Theyre based in Sheffield where theyve been awarded the Made in Sheffield mark granted to local businesses continuing Sheffields tradition of quality manufacturing. Theyre a member of The Furniture Ombudsman and the Guild of Master Craftsmen.
Odd Chair Company (The)
They hand make all their furniture, drawing upon 100 years of cabinet making and upholstery knowledge. Their frames are made using solid timber that is of the highest quality - each is dowelled, glued, screwed and corner blocked, hence why they guarantee them for 40 years. They use the finest materials such as hair, hessian and wool wadding and you have a choice of cushion fillings depending upon your preference. Most importantly, what comes of making chairs and sofas correctly is simply the comfort - all their chairs and sofas are fully sprung and some designs have additional comfort provided by a feather and down pack, hand-stitched over the upholstery (see for example, their Waverley armchair). Their special handmade collection comprises unique designs that are still hand carved by master carvers and lovingly hand French polished - they still very much hold to the idea that finishing by hand gives the wood a greater depth of colour and brings out the grain. They have 22 finishes available on beech, mahogany, oak or walnut; in addition, they offer water gilding and painted finishes too. Alternatively, they are able to match a stain and finish to your own furniture or sample. They offer several ways in which you can personalise your furniture from individual stud detail, valances, loose covers, fitted arm-caps and contrast piping or trims. All furniture is available with the option of fabric protection applied prior to delivery, for peace of mind.
