Active Edge

All of their products are 100% natural - they do not use any artificial flavourings, sweeteners or preservatives - and go the extra mile to ensure their products are of the highest possible quality. All of their products have functional benefits to customers, and they pride themselves on offering a range of products that help people with a number of conditions; Active Edge products provide known benefits, which are backed by scientific research. They partner with specialist growers, part of their commitment to ensuring they produce the highest quality products possible. It starts with a specifically chosen variety of fruit or vegetable, which has an exceptional nutritional and taste profile; their raw product is lovingly grown, and the fruit is picked in its prime, packed full of nutrients and flavour. The fruit or vegetable are then pressed and concentrated, avoiding excessive heat to protect the goodness, before cold filling into bottles. The result of this process is a 100% concentrated juice with a superior nutrient content and flavour. The fruit in their capsules then undergo a special process to remove the sugars and moisture, creating a skin, rich in nutrients, with only two calories per capsule. They use specific methods to dry the skins, to protect their goodness and then grind them into an ultra fine powder, making it easier for the body to absorb. Their special powders are then packed into 100% vegetarian, easy-to-swallow capsules. Importantly, they don’t use anti-caking, filling agents or other undesirable additives. Each product in the Active Edge range has different and specific functional benefits, be it someone wanting to control gout or aid sleep with CherryActive, reduce blood pressure with BeetActive, or improve brain health with BlueberryActive; at the other end of the spectrum their products have been providing elite athletes the edge by helping to optimise their endurance and recovery.

Founded in 1999 by naturopaths, who jointly share many years experience in the complementary health field, with the sole objective of serving the needs of fellow practitioners. After nine years of intense development, their unique range of products and services have gained them the recognition of being one of the forerunners in the UK's Complementary Practitioner Health Market. Their renowned commercial success over the past nine years has allowed them to compile an unrivalled level of scientific research that helps consumers understand the best way to get the optimum effects from their formulations in a safe, responsible manner. They are particularly proud of their Bioactive Vitamins and high absorption Citrizorb® Minerals; they believe that these products set a new industry standard in high quality food supplementation. When evaluating food supplements, always remember the most expensive food supplement you have ever taken is the one that didn't work! As a leading naturopathic company, they work with many of the original holistic principles of the Greek physician Hippocrates, often referred to as the 'father of medicine, who best explained the most important rule when he stated a very simple yet sound truth - 'let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food. How true these words still are today! Although today we do have to question what our food really delivers in nutritional terms. Hippocrates also went on to say 'do no harm', which is of course an important point. Nutrigold believe you should not do anything that will directly override the body's natural systems; therefore they do not produce any products that they feel take the right to choose away from our body's natural instincts. Nutrigold strongly believe that you must work with the body by supporting and encouraging the natural process of elimination, whilst making available to the body natural, biologically active food nutrients that your body can recognise and accept or reject, depending on its requirements; with the right guidance the body will do the rest. Remember, it's what you absorb and how it reacts in your body that's important, not the label claim, or the sales hype that surrounds it.
