Collier Campbell

Was founded in the 1960s by sisters Susan Collier and Sarah Campbell. The company found real fame in 1971 when the French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent used designs by Collier Campbell as the inspiration for his first ever ready-to-wear collection. Collier Campbell went on to collaborate with many of the world’s top designers, retailers and manufacturers including Liberty, Habitat, Jaeger and Conran in the UK and Martex, Westpoint and Springs in the USA. Their designs have won many awards and can be found in several museum collections featuring the best of modern design including the V&A Museum, London. The philosophy of Collier Campbell remains unchanged – they are passionate about colour and pattern and they want to make fabulous design and great quality products available to everyone. What distinguishes Collier Campbell designs is that they hand paint everything themselves. This gives their designs a fluidity and freshness that computer generated ones just can’t match. They have a wonderful design library from which they draw inspiration, updating designs and colours as well creating new designs for all collections and products.

DL and Co

It was born of the desire to bring objects of opulence and beauty to those who yearn for the uncommon and the exquisite. Disappointed with the meager, condescending offerings of the “beauty marketplace”, they decided to take matters into their own discerning hands; they decided to take a leap of faith, hoping there were others like themselves who longed to bring the unique, the rare and the unusual into their lives. Happily, their instincts have proven them to be correct in this particular case, as they now find themselves to be very busy. Every item they design is intended to unfold like a love letter, each painstaking detail revealing a procession of small delights. Like the purveyors of curious goods in previous ages, every item they create is intended to stir and enthrall each and every one of the senses, from the sleek feel of the carefully-selected silk ribbons to the intoxicating atmospheres of the handmade fragrances. Their love of rare botanica, arcane curiosities and long-forgotten sensations compel them to offer these modern heirlooms in this age of aesthetic tedium and mass production; they wish to provide an alternative for those who find the banality of today’s “products” to be an insult to their intelligence, dignity and good taste.
